Open source
Klio Compute is built on beta9, an open source serverless platform, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0.
The klio-compute Python package is plain Python distributed under the same licence, so the source is what you install. Releases are listed at https://compute.klio.tech/sdk/latest.txt.
What we changed
Our gateway and workers are built from beta9 at commit ab531f9e235fe178480f268ffa1861e10f6940cc, with these changes and no others:
0001-s2-endpoint-from-environment.patch(Gateway and worker): Logs and events go to the store we run ourselves, not to the hosted S2 service.0002-function-args-outlast-a-cold-start.patch(Gateway): A function's arguments are kept for an hour, not ten minutes, so they outlast a slow start.0003-queues-expire.patch(Gateway): A queue expires a day after its last write.0004-overlay-home-stays-unmounted.patch(Worker): Image builds running at the same time no longer unmount each other's filesystems.patch_sdk_connect.py(Worker image): The SDK inside your containers gets gRPC's normal connection timeout.
Getting the source
The commit above plus these files is the source of what runs. To have it sent to you instead, or for the source of anything else in the service, write to support@klio.tech.
Also in the service
Container logs are stored with s2-lite, unmodified, under the MIT licence. We run the image ghcr.io/s2-streamstore/s2@sha256:1aa52e91ec5d5f5cffee82d3240b102cd49dd1644ba561786e68feb20f4ccbab.
